As a PC local, I've come to expect spending $20 or more on every meal downtown. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. It's the Golden rule of Main Street. Thank god there are exceptions to every rule like Main Street Deli, which packs a value punch in historic PC and has been locally run for 20+ years. Most things are good. Some things are better. For breakfast, their egg sandwiches, pancakes, and oatmeal are stellar. For lunch, I tend to lean towards a gyro, reuben, or a cup of their homemade chili. I also am addicted to their fries. Two greasy spoons up.

If you're looking for a quick, basic sandwich...this place is probably fine...but not much more than average. You could probably make a better sandwich at home. The inside felt cluttered and dark with tables jammed together...would recommend getting to go and finding a bench on Main St to eat instead. The chicken salad was cold...like really cold...freezer cold...and a little runny. Not really anything interesting about it and pretty average. Same with the turkey sandwich...I don't have anything interesting to say about it since not very memorable. So I like I said, if you're just trying to grab something quick...the sandwiches are average but not anything you'll be wowed by.

The onion rings are amazing! Ranch, not so much. Mac and cheese from a box. Their soup was good, but a little salty. The philly was good.

It's as if it hasn't occurred to the owners that they are in the business of customer service. We placed our order at the counter with who we believed was the owner, and she was short tempered and impatient. When our food came out, the cook called our name, and we went to the counter to pick it up. He made a rude comment about us not picking it up faster (it was about 45 seconds) and started grumbling loudly about how he's "just trying to get these orders out." This went on for a bit, with him behaving as if he's put out by customers being so rude as to place orders. The food was okay, and I'm sure this business continues to make it only because of their location on Main Street. It's one of the least expensive spots on Main Street, which would be a draw if only for their crabby staff/owners. I sincerely hope the two of them were just having an off day.

Wish the service was as good as the food.. And the food was pretty mediocre. Never written a yelp review, but also never been treated so rudely for no reason. $10 for a bacon egg and cheese sandwhich, a coffee, and attitude.
